Delta Systems Designs Rugged USB Charger for Off-Highway Equipment
Streetsboro, Ohio, Oct. 19, 2026 - Delta Systems, Inc. developed a USB charging solution designed to meet the electrical and environmental demands of work equipment. The new USB Charger lets operators charge smartphones and other USB-powered devices while using their vehicles and equipment. Production parts are expected to be available in December 2026.
Designed for demanding working conditions, the USB Charger helps protect connected devices from electrical disturbances, including overcurrent and sudden voltage spikes. Its water-resistant design makes it suitable for equipment used in outdoor and rugged environments, including outdoor power equipment, construction, agriculture and material handling. Potential applications also include personal transport vehicles (PTVs), low-speed vehicles (LSVs) and utility task vehicles (UTVs).
“Think of this new component as the charging port in your car, but created specifically for tough working conditions,” said Isaac Kirbawy, Director of Product Management at Delta Systems. “OEMs can integrate charging functionality directly into their equipment, giving operators a convenient way to keep their devices powered throughout the workday without relying on a separate portable charger.”
