
Quality Assurance
From in-house products to contract manufacturing services, we strongly believe that quality must be designed into our products and processes, and that it does not end with delivery. We continue to support our customers to ensure their satisfaction.
Our success was recently recognized in Quality Magazine with Delta evaluated as ninth out of over 800 participants nationwide in the 2010 Quality Leadership 100 list. The achievement was based on several metrics including the number of quality programs in place; registration to various standards; the average number of hours monthly that employees receive quality training and scrap and rework.
As part of our quality/reliability process, we have a fully integrated test center that includes validation for vibration, electrical load, automated product cycling, material testing, Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT) and environmental testing for temperature, humidity, salt fog and dust. We conduct reliability testing of PCB board assembly, electronic assembly and injection molding designs, and we utilize Labview, fully functional measurement analysis software.
Certifications include ISO-9001:2008 standard with design and ISO-13485:2003 standard, and our quality personnel hold various ASQ certifications including: CMQ O/E, CQE, CQA, CQT and CBA. We have IPC certified technicians in inspection and rework to Class 3 and certified J-STD-001 technicians for soldered electrical and electronic assemblies.
The Delta quality system is designed to incorporate and improve products and processes utilizing:
- APQP – Advance Product Quality Planning via Team Collaboration from the Customer down through the Supplier
- DVV - Design Verification and Validation
- PPAP – Production Part Approval Process
- DOE – Design of Experiments
- FMEA – Failure Mode and Effect Analysis / both Design and Process
- SPC – Statistical Process Control via Infinity QS
- MSA – Measurement System Analysis
- EDC – Early Detection Containment
- RCA - Root Cause Analysis - Corrective Preventative Action Loop
- CI - Continuous Improvement based on Product / Process analysis
