FUNCTION:

0901/0901G/0901T
The 0901 series recoil start safety controllers provide electronic interlock for safe recoil start. The 0901and 0901G mini-modules are designed for use with inductive type ignition systems. The 0901T mini module is designed for use with capacitor discharge type ignition systems. The 0901G has a double-sided, printed circuit board with gold solder pads for added reliability in very rugged conditions. The engine will not start unless the switch is closed. After a safe start, the engine will continue to run with the switch open or closed (closed = system resistance less than 2 Ohms). See application schematic.

1201/1201G/1201T
The 1201 series recoil start safety controllers provide electronic interlock for safe recoil start and operator presence control stop. The 1201  and 1201G controllers are designed for use with inductive type ignition switches, and the 1201T is designed for use with capacitor discharge type ignition systems. The 1201G has a double-sided, printed circuit board with gold solder pads for added reliability in very rugged conditions. The engine will not start unless both the blade switch (SW1) and the transmission switch (SW2) (example: mower blade off & neutral transmission) are closed. The engine will continue to run only if operator presence switch (SW3) is closed or SW1 and SW2 are both closed. See application schematic.

1601/1601T
The 1601 series electric start safety controllers provide electronic interlock for safe electric start and operator presence control stop. The 1601 is designed for use with inductive type ignitions systems, and the 1601T is designed for use with capacitor discharge type ignition systems. The starter solenoid will not engage if the module is disconnected. It will not engage unless the blade switch (SW1), transmission neutral switch (SW2), and operator presence switch (SW3) are all closed. The engine will continue to run only if SW3 is closed or SW1 and SW2 are both closed. See application schematic.

1801/1804
The 1801 and 1804 OPC time delay mini-modules provide electronic interlock for time delayed operator presence control stop. They are designed for use with gas/ diesel engines where a time-delay shutdown is desired. The relay is energized (engine operates) when the blade switch (SW2) is closed (blade disengaged), or when operator presence switch (SW1) is closed (operator in position), or 1/2 +/- 1/8 second (1801) after SW1 is opened (seat bounce) or 1 3/4 +/- 1/4 second (1804) after SW1 is opened (seat bounce). If a switch, wire, or relay coil loses continuity, then the relay will return to the “free position” and the engine will experience a “safe” shutdown. See application schematic.

1901
The 1901 voltage monitor is an electronic voltage sensor that provides a warning light output to indicate low system voltage levels. Indicator will be off when battery/alternator voltage is above 12.0 VDC; indicator will be on when battery/alternator voltage is below 11.3 VDC. Typical point from off to on is 11.6 VDC. Switching point can be customized to your application. The voltage sensor should be disconnected from the battery when the engine is turned off to prevent battery discharge.
