Snap Delta's Smartgard™ Hourmeter into your dash to measure actual equipment hours and protect the battery from power drain. “Key-on” Hourmeters
Key-on hourmeters are traditional solutions accumulating time when power is supplied to the hourmeter. The phrase “key-on” is used because most applications use a key switch to turn the engine on and off. In “key-on” solutions when the key is in the “on” position the hourmeter counts time.

Magneto Powered Hourmeters
Delta’s “true run time” hourmeters offer an accurate representation of run time, only accumulating hours when the engine is running. When compared to traditional solutions, the magneto powered hourmeters offer the unique difference of being powered completely from the engine’s magneto. There are no batteries to run out or replace. This hourmeter is designed to consume very little power; so, you don’t even need a battery on you equipment.
